Christmas at the Children’s Society

Firstly I would like to thank you for your continued support of our work and the interest you show throughout the year. Once again you have very kindly offered a donation fir Christmas trips for the young people we work with in a preventative capacity.

We plan to take one group from Southdown, Bath to the annual pantomime at the Theatre Royal, Bath on December 22^nd, followed by an early evening supper. You would be very welcome to join us and I will let you know where we will be going by the end of the week.

Because of your generosity we are able to take a second group of young men on a trip in the New Year. Alongside a local church, a group of five young men that have been in trouble with the law are starting to engage with local agencies to build relationships and to look for positive opportunities. We ran a bowling trip earlier in the year for them and it was the first time anyone had trusted them enough to take them out. The young men really appreciated the trip, behaved well and would like to go again. Their behaviour is improving and  we feel it would be a good time to offer them another trip. I will spend Thursday evening with them at the church and we can plan a trip together. Again I will let you know where and when so you can choose to join us.
